One of the main goals of makeup is to correct the imperfections of our skin. However, to obtain the best results you have to know how to choose the most suitable type of makeup for each skin and the technique to be used.
Because not only is it enough to have a good makeup, but we must also use it in a practical way.
An imperfection is a small spot, mark or defect that appears on the face. If you already have it under control, it may not be a problem. However, the worst comes when it comes up unexpectedly, as we need more information and act quickly. In such a situation, how can we reduce imperfections?
To reduce the imperfections with makeup we can use three basic techniques:
Reduce inflammation
Use layers
Hide the biggest imperfections
Decrease inflammation
The inflammation produced by some imperfections can be reduced by applying a cleanser containing glycolic acid or sulfur before makeup. Another possibility is to spend a little ice for a few minutes in the area, also before makeup. Finally, it is also recommended to use a dye moisturizer to even out skin tone.
Use layers
To reduce the redness of an imperfection, a yellow cosmetic concealer may be used first. After this, you have to choose a natural base that is the same color as the skin tone. Finally, a layer of powders is used to counteract any oil remaining on the skin.
Hide the most prominent imperfections
The most prominent imperfections can be reduced by highlighting the skin around them. It is also advisable to use a masking make-up or even a fixative spray just after covering the imperfection.
Products to hide imperfections
Along with the previous techniques, the current market offers us a large number of products to hide any imperfection and achieve a luminous and radiant skin. Some products that we must apply before the base of makeup to obtain a smoother skin.
In the case of acne, pimples and redness, nothing better than a green concealer to neutralize the reddening tone of the skin. The corrector can be applied directly on the imperfection if it is localized grains or red marks. But in case the grain has a very intense red tone, it is advisable to opt for a common corrector of natural color on the green corrector.
Acne can be disguised with makeup bases that include some treatment against this imperfection. The scars left by juvenile acne, on the other hand, tend to redden, so they will need to use the green concealer. But if the scar already has a darker color, you have to resort to the corrector lila.
The line that marks the bags of the eyes can be disguised with a natural concealer and blending with the fingertips. For dark circles, instead, you have to apply a concealer that has a contrary color. So:
Yellow concealer for purple or bluish dark circles
Concealer lila for dark circles with brown spots
Blue concealer for dark circles with orange spots
Green concealer for reddened dark circles
Pink concealer for greenish circles
Stains caused by the sun or dark spots that appear over the years around the eyes or mouth can be disguised with a palette of concealers. Precisely, next we will talk about the makeup colors that we should use to cover these imperfections.

The colors of good makeup will also help us reduce skin imperfections.
