We give the suave and stylish groom a preview of the top three suit trends that will be dominating groom’s fashion in 2015…
MISMATCHED WEDDING SUITS
Groomsmen fashion has moved away from a look of uniformity, towards a more cohesive kind of ‘boyband’ styling. Mismatching the groomsmen not only gives the guys a chance to wear something they actually suit AND like, but can also save pennies if they are able to wear items they already own or may wear again. There are two ways to interpret this trend – either wear suits in different variations of the same shade, or wear different style and colour wedding suits with the same ties, buttonholes and cufflinks etc. This ensures that all men are united and easily identifiable as your team of groomsmen.
NAVY WEDDING SUITS
Gucci’s navy inspired spring 2015 menswear collection presented nautical styling as a major grooms wear trend. We’re not saying you have to walk down the aisle top-to-toe in a seafaring captain’s uniform, but you can subtly respect the wedding trend with white, navy and red accents, dapper boat shoes or some quirky cufflinks.
TAN WEDDING SUITS
Black, navy and grey have been reigning supreme on top of the groom colour chart for too long, so enter tan – this season’s most celebrated grooms suit shade. This neutral light brown/beige is undoubtedly the coolest colour for spring, summer or autumn weddings, especially outdoors when the hue will complement the natural surroundings.
